Mo 4 Dough – Fletch & Hindy show

Springfield Mo-Men are hosting a Movember event at the Orion Hotel which was a huge success last year, assisting us to raise over $10,000 for the Movember foundation and all the great work they do for men’s mental health, prostate and testicular cancer research.

It will be a sit down 2 course meal with drinks and the event will also have the State Manager from Lifeline and a Prostate Cancer survivor talking on mental health, etc. as this is what the month is all about.

Funds from this event, the auction and raffle during the event will all go to our Movember site – Springfield Mo Men.

COLOUR II: MERV MORIARTY ARTIST TALK

Learn about the artworks in Colour II: Merv Moriarty, in the Field, from the artist himself. Merv will be in the gallery from 3:30 – 4:30pm to talk about his new series of works and upcoming tour.

The artist describes his way of working as “sketching in the field first using watercolours or acrylics, with final works exploring the flexibility of modern acrylic paints of canvas”. The process of working from life rather than from a photograph is an important part of Moriarty’s process and he notes that ” I am constantly striving to reveal, not imitate reality.”

Learn more about the Colour and Response Tour and Exhibition Project.
