‘Easy Sounds’ at Grand Plaza Shopping Centre
Students from Marsden State High School will be performing every Thursday night in June at Grand Plaza food court. Be sure to bring the family along to cheer on young local talent in these free concerts!
Grand Plaza also have $5 Meal Deals on from 10 to 23 June, so its a great affordable dinner and a show. There’s also be a chance to win a $100 Grand Plaza gift card for those who sign up as a Grand Plaza VIP at the event.

Wesley Winterlude Concert

What Matters to You in Relation to Ageing, End-of-Life Care and Dying
he focus group will be facilitated by Health Consumers Queensland and will be held before the start of Palliative Care Queensland’s Compassionate Communities Conversation series.
Health Consumers Queensland together with COTA Queensland, Palliative Care Queensland and Carers Queensland are partnering with Queensland Health to hear directly from health consumers, carers and community members who have experience of ageing, end-of-life care and dying.
Your feedback will be collated into a report to inform Queensland Health and its committees and projects currently working in the area of frail, aged, palliative care and end-of-life care.
The focus group will run for one hour and attending consumers and carers will receive a $40 gift voucher for their time from Health Consumers Queensland. A maximum of 20 people can attend each focus group, and an RSVP is essential.

Man With A Pram
Man With a Pram is a 1 mile (1.5km) walk from Brisbane Botanic Gardens over the Goodwill Bridge to the Brisbane sign behind the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Registrations are via eventbrite and will include free entry to the PBC Expo.
Coffees will be supplied by The Gardens Club at a discounted price for Man With A Pram participants.
The purpose of the event is to connect dads and their families and to promote Dads Group Inc in the community to connect and support expecting and first time dads with one another.

BAD Curator Tours
BRISBANE ART DESIGN (BAD) will take over Museum of Brisbane with a multi-dimensional exhibition showcasing both established and emerging artists and designers of Brisbane. BAD celebrates the junctures between art, design and technology, exhibiting works across robotics, object design, performance art, video, installation, virtual reality, ceramics and painting.
For a deeper insight, join Curator Miranda Hine on a BAD tour, as she highlights the exciting established and emerging artists on show, and reveals the curatorial process and framework behind this mammoth celebratory showcase.

Painting with Light
Experiment with painting and drawing techniques then watch what happens when we turn off the lights!
Inspired by artist Kellie O’Dempsey’s multidisciplinary arts practice, incorporate gestural line and collaboration in a playful exploration of light and colour using glow in the dark paint and neon markers. Includes a visit to the BRISBANE ART DESIGN (BAD) exhibition.

School Holiday Eco Art Workshops
Join us over the school holidays for our Winter eco-arts workshops. Children will have the opportunity to create masterpieces from our salvaged materials and learn about creative reuse in the process.

2019 Metro North NAIDOC Caboolture Family Fun Day
Community members are invited to come together to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people during NAIDOC Week (7-14 July 2019).
The 2019 theme – VOICE. TREATY. TRUTH – invites you to walk with us in a movement of the Australian people for a better future. The Indigenous voice of this country is over 65,000 plus years old. Let’s work together for a shared future.
The family fun day, held at St Columban’s College at Caboolture, will feature a Welcome to Country, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dancing and singing, cultural workshops and plenty of health stallholders.
There will also be a free sausage sizzle, animal farm, jumping castle, face painting and rock climbing.
Robotics Programming with Robotics Playground
Take on the MoB Kids robotics challenge for a fun and interactive session that will test your problem solving and creative design thinking skills.
Work in teams to create, program and personalise your robot using a microcontroller and Scratch programming.
This experience is delivered in partnership with Robotics Playground and is recommended for children aged 8 years and up.

Junior Coding for Creative Storytelling and Games
Explore coding as a fun and easy tool for digital storytelling and games creation.
Interact with and be inspired by the art, design and technology-based exhibits in BRISBANE ART DESIGN (BAD), then experiment with ScratchJnr to program your very own interactive Brisbane story or game.
ScratchJnr is an introductory programming language designed for young children that can be used at home with an ipad.

Rockin’ Jimmy’s Car Show
Rockin’ Jimmy’s is a family friendly car show with something for everyone. The Jimboomba Anglican Parish has been the proud host for 6 years with over 1,400 people and 150 cars and bikes attending the event. Rockin’ Jimmy’s also includes markets, rockabilly fashion parade, dedicated KidsLand, live music, dancing and food.
Money raised from the event ensures continued support to various ministries, such as assisting families, victims of domestic violence, local schools and the Police Chaplaincy program to name a few.
Come along, experience the unique event that is Rockin’ Jimmy’s and help a good cause.
