BRISBANE Health and Education Sector Collaboration
This free Meet Up group is designed to be a catalyst for innovation through genuine collaboration and win-win partnerships. This is for medical, health and education professionals as well as those more broadly in the health and education sector.
Currently, the Australian federal and state governments are keenly seeking new ways to do health care in a way that is more affordable, timely, accessible and effective for all. Local councils are seeking to improve the health and wellness outcomes of their constituents and ensure local businesses are strong. Many non-government organisations have a proven capability to be agile and to respond to consumer and government expectations. To achieve this shared goal of doing things better, innovation is essential. However each of these players in the health care sector tend to work in isolation from one another. Education is such a formative part of society, we need the health and education sectors in direct dialogue with each other.
As winners of innovation awards, we are passionate about helping the health sector get on the front foot. No more playing catch up. That’s our goal. We know that collaboration contributes to innovation. That is due to the following reasons:
Associations
Speed
Connections
Energy
Implementation.
This Meet Up group is mainly focused on developing positive and constructive relationships between the government and non-government sector through mixing informally, as well as some more formal evidence-based networking such as 40 second introductions of all attendees, a 10 minute presentation on a topic of interest from either us or our guest speakers, and our in person Meet Ups also include rotations of 3 x 5 minute chats with attendees where interests seem to align to swap business cards and Linked In connections for future follow up as desired.
Enjoy our monthly in person catch ups (BYO drinks and snacks) and weekly Zoom catch ups to share boundless knowledge and experience and work together transform the health sector for the benefit of all.

MS Brissie to Bay
The MS Brissie to the Bay bike ride has been an iconic part of the Brisbane cycling scene for over three decades and is a favourite among many, from family and friend groups to large corporate companies and experienced riders.
The ride is more than just a fun day out on the bike; thousands of amazing riders take part to raise vital funds to help change the lives of the thousands of Queenslanders living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and other neurological conditions.
This year, on Sunday 11 June, thousands of riders will be slipping into lycra to take part in the annual ride to fight MS. You can join in by riding one of our five exciting distances. There is the family friendly 10km around the Brisbane Riverside, the scenic 25km ride to Balmoral, the classic 50km to Wynnum and the challenging 100km and 130km courses to Cleveland.
In 2023, we are aiming to raise $1,200,000 for the almost 4000 Queenslanders living with MS and other neurological conditions. Funds raised through the MS Brissie to the Bay bike ride directly supports the delivery of vital services such as physiotherapy and exercise therapy, psychology, nursing support and a phone hotline, to people living with MS and other neurological conditions.
So, what are you waiting for? Suit up in your lycra and wipe down your bicycle! SIGN UP today at www.BrissietotheBay.com.au and help raise $1.2 million to ensure no one has to face MS alone.
