Songwriter’s Circle at Wynnum Fringe 2023

Chanel Lucas (women in docs/Lucas & Clark) hosts the Songwriter’s Circle, a unique showcase of original songs by seasoned songwriters. In 2023, they’re revealing their ‘first songs,’ sharing the music that ignited their passion.
From classics to surprises, this concert, a sold-out hit at the Brisbane Fringe and Wynnum Fringe, promises laughter, tears, sing-alongs, and unforgettable moments.
We honor the Quandamooka People, the Traditional Custodians of our performance spaces, and pay our respects to Elders, past, present, and future.
Get ready for an engaging journey through the hearts and minds of these talented musicians, who will take you on an unforgettable songwriting adventure.

Join a cappella vocal ensemble Blue Sky Harmony at Everton Park Bowls and Community Club for an evening of music to kick-start the festive season!
Enjoy captivating performances by our award-winning choir and special guests. The night will be filled with harmony, including a special performance by participants in our November Festive Season Singing Workshop. Audience members will even have a chance to join in the singing!
Tickets are only $10 per adult and free for children (aged under 18) – book via our website. Invite your friends along for some festive fun!

Legacy Ipswich 100 Year Golf Event
The Legacy Club of Ipswich Inc. (Ipswich Legacy) will be staging the 100 Years of Legacy Charity Golf Tournament on Thursday, 30th November, 2023 at the Sandy Gallop Golf Club, Ipswich at 12pm.
This year Legacy Australia celebrates 100 years of continued service to the families of Veterans who have given their life or health in service to their country.

Redcliffe Anglican parish community Christmas fair
Enjoy festive cheer and delightful surprises with Christmas entertainment for the whole family in Redcliffe, including music by Sharon Alback Carollers at 11am, Multitude Choir ar 12 noon, and the Pine Rivers Brass Band at 1pm, plus Santa for the Kids from 1230pm to 130pm. Food, crafts and raffle tickets will also be on sale to raise money for the parish.

Axis Church is proud to be hosting our annual Christmas in the Neighbourhood event.
This free event will give you access to Jumping Castles, Animal Farm, Balloon Artist, Face Painting, Kids Crafts, Kids Scavenger Hunt & Side Show Amusements.
There will be plenty of food and drinks available for purchase including a barrister made coffee from our very own Axis Cafe.
Sing along to your favourite Christmas Carols with our live band performing on stage from 7pm.

Community Christmas Carols by Candlelight
Join us for the annual Brisbane Adventist College Carols by Candlelight event, which will be held on the College grounds on Sunday 3 December. Visitors and the community are invited to join our school in an outdoor celebration of the birth of God’s Son, and the Christmas season.
The event will feature food trucks, face painting, an interactive children’s concert, a carol sing-along, guest artist, and fireworks.
Food trucks from 4:30pm, Face painting from 5:00pm, Interactive children’s concert from 6:00pm, followed by a guest artist, Fireworks at 8:00pm.
Bring your chairs and blankets and join us for a picnic on the grass. Purchase something from one of our food vendors and experience a range of candlelit musical items that highlight our belief in Christmas as a time to, now more than ever, acknowledge Jesus’ gifts of peace, joy, and love to the world. LED candles will be available for purchase on the night.
Entry is free and parking attendants will be on-site to assist as you enter from Broadwater Road(GATE 1) or Wishart Road (GATE 4).

Community Carols Under the Stars
After another hugely successful Community Carols Under the Stars event in 2022, the churches involved will be again combining their resources to undertake this outstanding community event. This continues to be the largest community Christmas Carols event ever held in the Runcorn Ward. This event will continue to provide a high quality o?ering to the local community. Our aims are to provide an exciting, family friendly and safe event to connect local churches with the greater community through a shared celebration of Christmas. By enabling a free event ensuring involvement of all regardless of any socio-economic constraints.

Re-imagining Ageing – Brisbane North Forum
Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland is excited to host the Brisbane North Forum – Re-Imagining Ageing, Monday 4 December 2023.
Through this 2hr forum, COTA Queensland will kickstart an informal discussion on what is working well now in Brisbane North communities, and what needs to change to enable people to age well, both now and into the future. People will be encouraged to share their views and experiences. COTA Queensland will explore topics including e.g., health, transport, cost of living, loneliness, personal safety, caring for others and employment. We would love to have diverse representation of older people from Brisbane North communities at this event. This is a unique opportunity to influence future directions and priorities for ageing well in Queensland.
The forum will be held at the Kedron-Wavell Club and is free to attend.

Be inspired by this moving presentation of excerpts from Handel’s Messiah and join in the triumphant Hallelujah Chorus finale.
Join us for excerpts from Handel’s Messiah, the quintessential Christmas classic that has been delighting audiences for over 250 years.
Telling the story of Christ’s birth, life, passion and resurrection, this most glorious choral music never fails to inspire audiences as it is presented all around the world each Christmas.
A gathered Tabernacle Choir will combine with some acclaimed soloists, Alison Saunders, Ron Morris, Ronan King-Rose, Leon Warnick and the Sinfonia of St Andrew’s for two free presentations on Saturday 9 December at 6.30PM and Sunday 10 December commencing at 6:30pm.
Admission is FREE (no tickets)
A limited number of wheelchair-accessible seats are also available. Please contact the event organiser or the Church Office (details below).
FREE parking is available on both evenings in the multi-storey carpark at 51 Astor Terrace (off Upper Edward Street).

Shiloh Christmas Carols
We are having a free community carols event. We are having Faith Sosene from the Voice 2022, Monster Trucks crushing cars, Santa Claus coming in on a helicopter, Carnival Rides, Fireworks, Food Trucks, and Face Painting.
This is our annual carols event. It’s our way of giving back to our local Goodna and Brisbane west/Ipswich community. Free to the public.

Come on by, bring the whole family to help celebrate the free Bayside Carols 10th birthday hosted annually by Qld Services Heritage Band Assoc.
