Ever since their debut EP release in 2011, For King & Country’s Aussie fans have been itching for that day when Luke and Joel would announce that they’re coming back to play in the land of their birth.
The first show at Riverlife Baptist Church at Seventeen Mile Rocks sold out in two weeks! Band management have been working hard behind the scenes to lock in a second date and venue – this is confirmed, and the band’s second show will be on February 1 at the Mueller College Performing Arts Centre.
96five is excited to be presenting the duo’s first ever Brisbane gigs!
- Tickets are on sale now for the second show on February 1 – get in early to avoid further disappointment!
The grammy-award winning pair will bring a soaring, high-energy set from their third studio album to the iconic Sydney Opera House, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, featuring the uplifting title track Burn the Ships and the infectious anthem Joy, as well as previous hits like Fix My Eyes, Shoulders, Busted Heart (Hold on to Me), Priceless, and It’s Not Over Yet.
Watch For King & Country – Joy
After ‘apprenticing’ with big sister Rebecca St James in their younger years, joining her on the road as techies and backing vocalists, Luke and Joel Smallbone stepped out to forge their own path in the music industry ten years ago.
Now with three studio albums, a 60-date arena tour, two Grammies and a four number one hits behind them, they’re a musical force to be reckoned with. They’ve even put their hand to film-making, launching the indie film Priceless in 2016, drawing attention to human trafficking.
