To help you plan your Easterfest schedule for 2013 we thought we would introduce you to some of the local acts heading to Toowoomba for the festival this year.

Slip-on Stereo

Describing their sound as ‘summer vibes’ these guys bring heaps of fun to any stage they find themselves on. Full of catchy hooks and harmonica solos these guys are a must see this year.

Playing: 4pm Friday on Mainstage

Bec Laughton

Bec has just returned from being featured at SXSW festival in Texas (one of the world’s biggest music showcases) and is in the Grand Final of the World Songwriting Championships. She has a massive voice that has to be experienced to be believed.

Playing: 5.30pm Saturday on Mainstage

Maddi Rose

At just 17yrs of age, singer/songwriter Maddi Rose has already been to the USA twice on music related business. After a cover of Demi Lovato’s Skyscraper was seen by a US producer her career has been on the up and up. Heaps of talent for someone so young, watch this space.

Playing: 2pm Sunday at The Big Top

Dan Bremnes

Dan Bremnes is the nicest Canadian you’ll ever meet, which is saying a lot, because I’ve only ever met nice Canadians. He brings a big voice and lots of talent with him, as well as some great music to help you celebrate what Easter is all about.

Playing: 2.40pm Friday at the EPIC Centre

Marching South

Taking inspiration from Of Monsters & Men and Mumford & Sons, Marching South bring a whole bag of toe taping-ly catchy tunes to the table. Having only been together a year they are a bit earlier on their journey than some other bands you’ll see at Easterfest, but they are defiantly some guys to highlight on your schedule.

Playing: 5.20pm Saturday in the Chai Tent

Jake Nauta

Jake Nauta

Jake was once half of Sydney duo Plajerise but in the last 2 years has more than made a name for himself playing solo. His latest release ‘Love Me Too’ is his catchiest work yet and ideal for the atmosphere at Easterfest. Have a listen to our chat with him below.

Playing 4.40pm Saturday on Mainstage
