As the world prepares to celebrate the arrival of a new year with parties and fireworks, Nathan Fawcett has something more meaningful in store.
On New Year’s Eve, Nathan is organising a worship event designed to bring Christians together in an outdoor setting to express their love for God and their faith openly.
Many will recognise Nathan Fawcett from his inspiring worship music, however his ministry ‘Worship Him’ goes beyond just producing music; it’s about creating communal worship experiences.
“We want to also gather thousands of people to worship together on the streets of Australia and show the public expression of what worship could look like across the whole nation of Australia”, Nathan told 96five’s Alex Milne.
This vision is not just an abstract goal; it’s something Nathan has actively pursued. His upcoming event at Fire Church in Forest Glen on the Sunshine Coast underscores his commitment to this mission.
The event promises to be a unique and impactful way to usher in the New Year, with Nathan even assembling a prayer team to intercede for favourable weather conditions.
Over the past few years Nathan has run outdoor worship events in a number of states, recallings a touching moment from a recent event where a Muslim man approached him in tears, saying, “because of how you worship Him, I now believe that He’s real.”
This story illuminates the far-reaching impact of public worship and how it can touch hearts and change lives in profound ways.
The event, hosted by Fire Church at 70 Sandalwood Lane, Forest Glen, will feature two bands and has garnered the support of local pastors.
As he prepares for the New Year’s Eve worship event, Nathan is driven by a passionate belief in the power of collective worship and its ability to demonstrate God’s love to the world.
It’s an opportunity not just to celebrate the new year, but to do so in a way that glorifies God and unites believers in a powerful public display of faith.
Join Nathan Fawcett and many others in welcoming the new year with worship, and witness firsthand the incredible impact of faith in action.
