Paul Costa’s powerful new single ‘Spirit Of Cricket’ pays homage to the many legends and characters who continue to inspire millions of cricket lovers around the world, and encourages sportsmanship and fair play for cricketers of all ages.
Last year the Australian TV show Bluey stole hearts across the globe with the episode Cricket, including fans from non-cricketing nations like the US, with an episode devoted entirely to the spirit of cricket.
Australian country singer/songwriter Paul Costa has now put pen to paper and summed up the spirit of Australia’s national sport in his new single.
“The dreamers are clearing the pickets, and the seamers are tumbling wickets. It’s our love affair, pride in kit we wear. We’re living, the sprit of cricket”, Paul sings in the song that will set the tone for another Aussie summer.

The idea for the song came from Spirit Of Cricket Global founder Anthony Telfer, who was good friends with Paul, and asked him to write the song for a group of cricket tragics who wanted to make a difference to how the great game is played.
The music video was filmed at the iconic Bradman Oval and Museum, featuring cricket legends Jeff Thompson, Doug Walters and John Dyson.
