The long awaited Bluey’s World – an immersive experience that takes guests into the world of the hit TV show, has thrown open its doors in style with Bluey cast and crew celebrating alongside invited guests.
The opening celebrations, held at Northshore Pavilion in Hamilton, drew fans, families and famous faces, eager to immerse themselves in the wonder of Bluey’s World – the brand-new immersive For Real Life experience. The talented team from Ludo Studio, along with Melanie Zanetti (voice of Chilli) and David McCormack (voice of Bandit), joined the festivities.
“It’s such a special moment to see Bluey’s World come to life right here in my hometown where Bluey was created,” said Melanie Zanetti, the voice of Chilli. “This show has such a big heart, and it’s incredible to see families stepping into Bluey’s universe and experiencing that same magic up close. I’m incredibly proud to be part of something that brings so much joy to people of all ages, and there’s no better place to celebrate it than here in Brisbane.”
Bluey’s World Producer Andrew Kay, said in his address to the crowd was that Bluey’s World was indeed a love letter to Brisbane.
And as you step through the doors of Bluey and Bingo’s Queenslander house, you’re transported into the world of the Heelers; a version of Brisbane dreamt up by creator Joe Brumm, and brought to life on screen by the wonderfully talented Ludo Studio crew.
Sam Moor, Producer, Ludo Studio said ‘‘The team behind Bluey spent hours and hours meticulously designing and drawing the backgrounds and neighbourhoods for the TV show that the whole world has come to love. So, we’re thrilled to now be able to give fans the opportunity to literally step into the world the team created – for real life. It’s really special and exciting for everyone.”
Bluey’s World encapsulates everything that fans of Bluey have come to love over the past six years – imagination, play, magic, fun and that beautiful colour palette that greets you as you move through the rooms of the Heeler’s house, as well as some of the outdoor spaces featured on the show.
The hosts and guides are fun and engaging, keeping the 20 kids in my group entertained for the duration of the tour.
One of the highlights of the opening event was a special musical performance by Bluey composer Joff Bush, who was joined by onstage by Australian musician and songwriter Meg Washington, Australian entertainer and dancer Emma Watkins, and musician Jazz D’Arcy.
The launch concluded with a spectacular Bluey-themed fireworks display that lit up the Brisbane sky.
Bluey’s World is open now at Hamilton Northshore – parking is plentiful around the event site, or you can catch a CityCat (or CityDog) directly to the Hamilton Ferry Terminal, located adjacent to Bluey’s World.
