Today is Pentecost Sunday; the day which commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and Disciples.

In this edition of Family Worship, Jo Hayes shares a special message on the power of Pentecost –  and what it means in the lives of Christians and the church in 2021.

Those disciples, apostles and believers were able to go forth into the world and preach the gospel, and that is what the modern church is still called to do.

Jo Hayes is a member of St Agatha’s Catholic Church in Clayfield and the host of ‘The Word with Jo Hayes’ podcast.

Her day job is as a journalist and TV reporter with 7NEWS in Queensland, and 96five listeners may know Jo’s voice as a former 96five newsreader and member of The Family Show with Liam, Robbie and Jo.
