After a rainy first week of school holidays weather things are looking pretty sunny next week, and what better way to celebrate that than a family day on the river…for free! Maybe it’s time for a picnic at New Farm park, then a leisurely cruise under the bridge, past the city, into Southbank! The kids will love it.
Scotty caught up with Brisbane Lord Mayor Graham Quirk to get all the details on the new service, more details from the Brisbane City Council, and a route map are below.

“The CityHopper service allows you to rediscover Brisbane for free with ferries running every 30 minutes between 6am and midnight, seven days a week.
The CityHopper travels along the Brisbane River, stopping at North Quay, South Bank 3, Maritime Museum, Thornton Street, Eagle Street Pier, Holman Street, Dockside and Sydney Street terminals.
As the CityHopper is free, all you need to do is hop on and hop off and enjoy taking in the Brisbane River and city sights.”
