The 2017 winner of QLD Father of the Year, Jeremy Lange, has defied all odds to raise twin autistic boys – a process which has included extensive occupational and speech therapy, while also actively contributing to Mackay’s autism community.
At the time Lange was a young, single dad who had embraced the responsibility to care for his sons extensive needs. Now with wife Rebecca, they are also raising a third happy, healthy child.
According to Rebecca, Jeremy is “a super dad” and her rock.
The heart behind QLD Father of the Year is expectedly big, and the 2017 winner is most certainly no exception! According to various sources, Jeremy is “an inspiration to all who meet him”.
Lange is joined by five other regional winners at the annual Queensland Father of the Year award ceremony hosted by SU QLD. The prestigious award honours the significant role of the father and identifies outstanding fathers for their commitment to raising their children.
96five are proud supporters of the Queensland Father of the Year award, and are wholly supportive of acknowledging the outstanding commitment of these fathers and their larger contribution to their community.
This year, the winner of Father of the Year will win their family 5 nights’ accommodation at the Sea World Resort and Water Park, with additional unlimited entry to Movie World, Sea World and Wet’n’Wild for the duration of their stay.
Congratulations to all the finalists this year! Your dedication to your family and your children is truly inspirational.
