96five is proud to be partnering with the Salvation Army for their upcoming Salvos Sleepout.

Along with being a media partner, 96five’s Nicky and Jess will be ditching their creature comforts and sleeping out to help raise funds and awareness for the growing issue of homelessness in Brisbane and how that’s affecting women in particular.

More women are finding themselves in unstable environments that range from uncomfortable to dangerous. Many women have no choice other to flee, often ending up without a place to call home.

Held on Friday 6th September at the RNA Showgrounds, the fourth edition of the Salvos Sleepout is open to anyone and designed to demonstrate what it’s like to be homeless and to help raise $60,000 to support women’s homelessness services.

Jess will be broadcasting live from the Salvos Sleepout (tune in from 3pm) and the night will include a hot dinner and hot drinks plus a panel and Q&A hosted by Nicky to hear from individuals with lived experiences with homelessness.
