Escaped camels on their way to Bethlehem?

It looks like they might have gotten a little lost along the way.

Three camels brought in for a Carols Concert at a local church on Brisbane’s Northside have caused a bit of chaos after first escaping their enclosure and then wandering the streets of Aspley and Bridgeman Downs.

96five’s Jess Drummond caught up with Ty Thomas, Kids Pastor at Bridgeman Baptist Community Church to learn more about how the camels escaped their enclosure.

“The owner of the camels has been saying how intelligent these animals are” said Ty.

“Apparently what has happened is they have unhinged their little gate themselves.” Ty Thomas from Bridgeman Baptist Community Church

The church has been inundated with calls about the curious camels.

“Many people were googling and quickly calling the church number and saying, ‘just in case no one has called up I want to let you know that 3 camels are doing a lap of the property’.

The escape artists are now back where they belong and ready for the final night at the Bridgeman Christmas Lights in Bridgeman Downs.
